Wordbloom Privacy Policy
Effective date: 9 August 2026 · Applies to Wordbloom on Android and iOS
This policy explains what information the Wordbloom mobile game (“the app”, “we”) collects, how it is used, and the choices you have. Wordbloom is a free-to-play word-connect puzzle game supported by ads. There are no in-app purchases, and you do not need an account to play.
Information we collect
We do not ask for your name, email address, phone number, or precise location. The app uses the following third-party services, which may collect limited data automatically:
- Advertising identifier. Wordbloom shows ads through Google AdMob. To serve and measure ads, AdMob may access your device’s advertising identifier — the Advertising ID on Android, or the Identifier for Advertisers (IDFA) on iOS — and related technical data (device type, coarse region, ad interactions). In the EEA/UK you are asked for consent on first launch; if you decline, ads are shown in a non-personalized form.
- Gameplay analytics. We use Google Firebase Analytics to understand how the game is used (for example, which levels are played and completed). This data is aggregated and is not used to identify you personally.
- Crash reports & technical diagnostics. We use Google Firebase Crashlytics to record crashes and stability problems. When the app crashes, Crashlytics collects a crash trace (what the app was doing when it failed), your device model, operating-system version and app version, along with a randomly generated installation identifier. Google’s ad and analytics SDKs may also collect limited performance data. None of this identifies you personally, and we never attach your name or email address to it.
Your game progress (levels completed, coins, streaks, garden, settings) is stored on your device and is not uploaded to us. The app is fully playable offline; the data above is only sent when you have a network connection.
How we use information
- To display and measure advertisements (the app’s only source of revenue).
- To understand gameplay trends and improve level design.
- To keep the app stable, and to diagnose and fix crashes and other technical issues.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use this information for any purpose other than operating and improving Wordbloom.
Third-party services
These services process data as described in their own privacy policies:
Your choices
- Personalized ads (Android): reset or limit your advertising ID in your device settings (Settings → Privacy → Ads), and manage Google ad personalization at adssettings.google.com.
- App Tracking Transparency (iOS): on first launch the app asks for your permission before it may access the IDFA for personalized advertising. If you decline, ads are shown in a non-personalized form. You can change this at any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking, or per-app under Settings → Wordbloom.
- On-device data: because the app stores no account, uninstalling Wordbloom removes the on-device data associated with your play.
Data deletion
Wordbloom has no user accounts, so your saved progress lives only on your device. To delete the data associated with your use of the app:
- Remove on-device data (Android): uninstall the app, or clear its data in Settings → Apps → Wordbloom → Storage → Clear data. This permanently deletes your progress on that device.
- Remove on-device data (iOS): delete the app from the Home Screen, or use Settings → General → iPhone Storage → Wordbloom → Delete App. (“Offload App” keeps your saved progress; “Delete App” removes it.)
- Reset advertising data: reset or delete your advertising ID (Android: Settings → Privacy → Ads; iOS: Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking).
- Request deletion: to ask us to delete any diagnostic or crash-report data linked to your device, email itinyjava+wordbloom@gmail.com and we will action the request with our analytics and crash-reporting providers.
Children’s privacy
Wordbloom is intended for players 13 and older and is not directed to children. Ad content is configured to a family-safe (“G”) rating, and the Gambling & Betting ad category is blocked. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Data security & retention
Data sent to the services above is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS). We retain analytics and diagnostic data only as long as needed to operate and improve the app, in line with each provider’s retention settings.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy; material changes will be reflected by a new effective date above.
